Kitchen Remodeling

What We Offer

The Complete Kitchen Remodel. One Team, Start to Finish.

Most contractors offer one piece of the kitchen remodel: a cabinet shop that only does cabinets, a tile installer who does not coordinate with the countertop fabricator, a GC who subcontracts every trade and charges 20 percent to manage the chaos. Dan Craig Cabinetry takes a different approach.

We manage the complete kitchen remodel under one roof: architectural planning, permit filing, cabinetry production, countertop selection and installation, sink and hardware sourcing, and final installation. You deal with one person throughout the project. Dan Craig.

If you already have a GC or architect involved, we are equally comfortable fitting into that team structure and delivering just the cabinetry component. The same Wisconsin hardwood and Blum hardware standard applies either way.

What Is Included in a Full Kitchen Remodel

Architectural Planning and Drawings

Cabinet elevations, layout plans, and specification sheets produced and approved in writing before any work begins. No field improvising.

Permit Filing and Inspections

We pull the permits, schedule the inspections, and keep the project compliant with local building department requirements for the northwest Chicago suburbs.

Custom Cabinetry Production

Cabinets built in our shop from Wisconsin hardwood to your exact specifications. Blum hardware and dovetail drawer boxes standard. No particle board.

Countertop Selection and Installation

Quartz, granite, quartzite, and laminate countertop options. We coordinate templating, fabrication, and installation so you are not managing a separate vendor.

Sink and Hardware Sourcing

Kitchen sink selection, faucet coordination, and cabinet hardware sourcing handled through our design process. One order, one delivery.

Final Installation and Walkthrough

Our crew installs to the approved drawings. Full client walkthrough at completion with every punch-list item resolved before sign-off.

  • Full client walkthrough at project completion, your sign-off required before job is considered done

Investment Range

What Does This Cost?

Pricing reflects the quality of materials, hardware, and craftsmanship that ships standard on every Dan Craig Cabinetry project. Budget is discussed openly at the consultation so the proposal reflects what is actually achievable at your number.

If you have received a significantly lower quote elsewhere, ask what hardware is included, what the drawer box material is, and where the wood comes from. Those three questions will explain the difference.

Discuss Your Budget
Kitchen-only cabinetry refresh$28,000 – $55,000
Mid-scope remodel (cabinetry + countertops + sink)$45,000 – $80,000
Full floor-to-ceiling remodel$75,000 – $150,000+

Estimates for planning purposes. Final pricing confirmed at consultation.

Kitchen Remodeling Questions.

How long does a full kitchen remodel take?

A mid-scope kitchen remodel runs 12 to 18 weeks from signed proposal to project completion. A full floor-to-ceiling remodel with permit requirements typically runs 16 to 24 weeks. We provide a detailed project schedule before any deposit is made.

Do I need to hire my own general contractor?

Not necessarily. For projects where Dan Craig Cabinetry is managing the full scope, we coordinate all trades involved in the cabinetry and countertop work. For structural changes, electrical, or plumbing relocation, we can recommend trusted trade partners or work alongside your existing GC.

Can you handle a kitchen remodel if I already have a designer?

Yes. If an interior designer is involved, we work from their drawings, coordinate delivery schedules to match their timeline, and install to their specifications. We provide shop drawings for designer approval before production begins.

What happens if the scope changes during the project?

Every change in scope, material, or timeline is communicated in writing before any work affected by the change proceeds. No surprise additions to the invoice. No field decisions that affect cost without your approval first.

Do you remodel bathrooms as well as kitchens?

Yes. The same full-scope remodeling capability applies to bathrooms. Vanity cabinetry, countertops, mirrors, and accessories can all be handled through a single engagement.

Can you work with my existing appliances and layout?

Yes. If the layout of your kitchen is working and you are keeping existing appliances, we design and build around what is staying. If you are changing the layout or appliance configuration, we incorporate that into the planning and drawing phase.
