What We Offer

The Countertop Partner That Works with Your Cabinetry.

Countertops are the most-touched surface in a kitchen. The material, the edge profile, the thickness, and the color all have to work together with the cabinetry, the flooring, and the hardware. Coordinating that across separate vendors produces inconsistency. Handling it through one partner produces a cohesive result.

Dan Craig Cabinetry handles countertop selection, templating, fabrication coordination, and installation as part of a full kitchen or bathroom engagement, or as a standalone service for clients who simply need to replace their countertops without touching the cabinets.

Every countertop installation is templated after cabinetry installation is complete, not before. This eliminates the most common source of countertop fit problems: templating off old cabinets that do not match the new layout.

Countertop Materials We Offer

Countertop Materials We Offer

Quartz

Engineered quartz is the most durable countertop surface available. Non-porous, consistent patterning, no sealing required. Available in hundreds of colors and patterns from manufacturers including Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone.

Granite

Natural stone with unique veining and character that no two slabs replicate. Requires periodic sealing. Preferred by homeowners who want a natural material story and the visual depth that only real stone provides.

Quartzite

Natural quartzite is often confused with quartz but is a metamorphic rock with the look of marble and the hardness of granite. A premium option for homeowners who want natural stone aesthetics with better durability than marble.

Laminate

Contemporary laminate options have advanced significantly. For budget-conscious projects, quality laminate with a solid substrate delivers a clean result. Honest about the material, and genuinely durable with reasonable care.

Waterfall Edge Countertops

Countertop material that continues vertically down the side of the island or cabinet run, creating a continuous waterfall effect. Requires precise mitering and alignment during installation.

Butcher Block and Wood

Solid hardwood countertop sections for prep areas, bar tops, or specific zones within a kitchen. Sourced from our Wisconsin property on request for a full material continuity story.

Investment Range

What Does This Cost?

Pricing reflects the quality of materials, hardware, and craftsmanship that ships standard on every Dan Craig Cabinetry project. Budget is discussed openly at the consultation so the proposal reflects what is actually achievable at your number.

If you have received a significantly lower quote elsewhere, ask what hardware is included, what the drawer box material is, and where the wood comes from. Those three questions will explain the difference.

Discuss Your Budget
Laminate (per linear foot installed)$40 – $80
Quartz (per linear foot installed)$90 – $160
Granite / Quartzite (per linear foot)$100 – $200+

Countertops Questions.

Do I need to replace my cabinets to get new countertops?

No. Countertop replacement is available as a standalone service. We template the existing cabinet tops, coordinate fabrication, and install without touching the cabinetry. This is a common refresh option when the cabinets are still in good condition.

How long does countertop installation take?

Template-to-installation typically runs 2 to 4 weeks after cabinetry installation is complete. Templating takes one day. Fabrication runs 10 to 14 business days. Installation is typically one day for a standard kitchen.

What is the most durable countertop material?

Engineered quartz is the most durable and lowest-maintenance option. It is non-porous, does not require sealing, and is highly resistant to staining, scratching, and heat. Natural quartzite is a close second and offers the visual character of natural stone.

Can I see samples before deciding?

Yes. We provide countertop material samples and can also arrange showroom visits with our fabrication partners where you can view full slabs. For natural stone like granite and quartzite, slab selection is recommended so you can see the exact material that will be in your kitchen.

Do you install countertops in bathrooms as well?

Yes. Bathroom vanity countertops in quartz, granite, and quartzite are available through the same process. We coordinate undermount sink cutouts and faucet drilling as part of the fabrication order.

What edge profiles are available?

Standard edge profiles include eased, beveled, ogee, bullnose, and waterfall. Profile availability varies by material and fabricator. We present options at the material selection stage and confirm profiles in the fabrication order.
